I hope this doesn't count as a travel post D:

But anyway, I'm toying with the idea of taking the fall semester off and backpack around South America for 3 months (Peru and surrounding countries, still need to figure out what I want to see). I have 8g lobes and assorted ear piercings. My lobes are small enough to go naked which I probably will do because I don't want to deal with jewelry on my trip especially that I'll be camping too and visiting the Amazon.

However, I kind of want to go bigger so if I do give into the temptation and stretch up, what kind of plugs should I bring? I'll most likely be a 6g then to allow lobes heal enough to be able to wear DFs (or just wear CBRs, tightly closed with the help of a piercer). And if you were going on a long trip like this, what would you do with your ears? I'm curious!

On Wednesday, my house burnt down. I lost everything I owned & the house is a complete loss. Thankfully, everyone got out safely as did our pets...barely. The Red Cross was good enough to put my family & I into a motel for a few days, but it certainly isn't a replacement for home.

I come to you, o_s, to get links. I just wanna see something cute that will cheer me up. A video, a picture, a story. Whatever you have.

I'm new to Twitter. Have had one for a bit, but never used it. It came to my attention it could be an asset after a post on stretched talking about an update on there about BAF adding things.

My question: Any Twitter pages you'd suggest? Esp. ones that might offer contests or updates that are interesting. I have Omerica and BAF added.

I have a problem I have to manage and usually do a pretty good job of. Twice in the last 4 years I've realised I've let my shopping get out of control, no debt was incurred either time (I'm a pretty sensible person, which helps a lot) but both times I had difficultly paying for normal expenses due to having spent too much on my obsessional items. My preoccupation with whatever it is has an impact on my interactions with other humans, ignoring them whilst I scour online stores/Google etc looking for my 'rare' item of choice of the moment....

My ears are super thick and quite happy, i'm curious if anyone ever stretched to 1 1/4" as thats the size i need in order to keep my 1" collection and wear them through silicone eyelets.

how do you convince yourself to stay at the size your at? i'm ridiculously inveted in my size but i keep seeing pictures at 1 1/4 and just drool at how perfect the size is.

maybe just going up to 1 1/8" and alternating back and forth between that and 1" would that work do you think?

i'm interested in input from people who are really invested in their size but realy secretly want to go a bit larger. What did you wind up deciding? are you able to go up and down? i should mention i have plugs that are 27mm that i wear as well as 25mm so its NOT that big a change i just managed to really tighten and thicken my lobes by no wearing jewlwery a lot of the time to really tighten my super stretchy lobes.

since nobody i know IRL stretches their ears supportive ideas are appreciated!

Two issues -

1. I can not find a good community that discusses road bikes & women. Such things as women's seats for road bikes, distance rides for women, & that sort of things. Suggestions?

2. I wear Kaos when I ride. I've crashed and burned a few too many times and once lost a plug & once feared it would never come out after having my ear lobe swell so terribly. I have had bad experiences showing up at a few races and being assumed that I am part of the "hipster" crowd, which isn't a big deal, except they put me with the "fixed" bikes. Not cool. For those of you that ride, what do you wear?

Dear off_stretched, a tale of dental woeCollapse ).

Can you tell me some amusing stories about mods + dentists or other doctors?

P.S. I am getting my conches punched tomorrow and thanks to the experiences on stretched, I'm feeling pretty comfortable/not scared.

Hi guys, I work in a relatively conservative field. Less so than law or medicine but more so then retail or hospitality. I was wondering what most people wear to work as I basically only wear opaque coloured plugs and I was wondering if I'm limiting myself too much. I wore some 8g (I'm at 6g now) hangies to a workmates wedding and someone actually grabbed my ear and looked behind it to see if it went all the way through, so people would notice. I just don't know what would happen if I wore more obvious jewelry to work that didn't pass for a stud earring.

So basically my question is: for those who work in a field where the sky is definitely not the limit for mods what do you wear and have you ever gotten in trouble for wearing something your supervisor thought was inappropriate? If yes, what happened?

so I need to get a new car... not a BRAND new car, but one that doesn't suck as bad as my car. The problem is I have 0 credit history and my parents cannot co-sign cause their credit sucks right now... and I don't know what to do. I don't have enough cash to buy a car with all cash, so I'd need to finance... but because of the economy, banks are really tight on everything... so they are big sticklers with people with no credit history.

I know I could technically get another crappy car that would only cost me like $2,000, but that's pretty much what my car is right now. I'm trying to find a car that's somewhat newer and has decent miles... so yah.

does anyone have any advice on this or has gone through this? anyone know how to get good cars if they have no credit history?

sorry if it sounds like i'm rambling!

Hey dudes-

I'm curious about dermal punches. Not what they do, but the actual object. Are the ones Painful Pleasures sells decent? I'm not looking to punch holes in my (or anybody else's!) body, but I need to cut some perfect circles in a few specific sizes and dermal punches seem like a better idea than attempting this myself. Basically, I need something that will be able to punch several times (and yes, I plan on getting more than one in each size).

If PP fails, where else should I look? I know of online places that sell them, but I'm guessing that not all dermal punches are created equal.

Thanks in advance!
